Where is my fig cuttings??

Through the great big shop of ebay, i ordered some fig cuttings. Two order made it to my office. Another one, already two week late from ETA. Ayoyo! Where is my fig cuttings?.

My TGF at home, is doing quite ok apart from one of the twig was damaged by my dear kitten. All the Black Jack from a seller in Kedah, died. Ontahlah, still not enough care from me, to think of it... huhuhu. Now I am waiting for some of cuttings that I dunk into a pot of Ketapang leaves water to grow its roots. No Atonik water could be found in my hometown.

This new hobby is so challenging!. I love it.

It has been quite sometimes taking gardening as a hobby

Hahaha, what is the best about gardening? Learning new knowledge on how to grow food to be put on my dinner table.

Total blunder? My spirit of just do it. Haha. Burn almost a thousand RM on figs cutting. But, gardening helps to combat the stress of working here in the land office. Had a very difficult time last few month. Dateline and solving problems created by poor judgement done by us. No one get the blow, just hardly trudge on.Almost settled by today. But too tired to think anymore.

Just releasing some steams through blogging and surfing about gardening. Come to think of this hobby a few years ago...Adli would said to mom, "apalah dapat tanam bunga".

Now eat back my words. Hahaha. Served me right. Choww..

Readings and read

Just know, had a conversation with my boss. He asked me, how do I learn so fast the rope and tangle of land management (we work in the land office). Just a phrase I answered him.

Readings!

True, that is the only way Adli  used for 95% of the time. Adli has been here in this district land office for a year. Based on another land office officer experience, she said that Adli need to read a lot. And that what Adli did as a greenhorn officer here, in idyllic land of oil palm, rubber trees south of peninsular Malaysia.

Adli now in the middle of finishing a book wrote by a fire watcher in Gila, USA. He wrote about his life as a forest service officer in the heart of massive reserved forest. The smoke, the loneliness, the fire jumper, the hike and hikers. A very entertaining book. Got it for RM10.00 at the Big Bad Wolf book bazaar.

Wishing for a holiday, tired and lonely. That what Adli feeling right now. Reading, apart from gardening now is the way to conquer the feeling. 

Friendship

Bought Amal, a smart phone. A present upon his convocation. Glad he like it. He is my good and best friend. Used to see people tag or using hash tag BFF, meaning Best Friend Forever. I think Amal is my BFF. knowing him from 9 years old, we are buddy that can't be separated during our schooling years.

But as things happen during our young adult years, as a result, we barely contact each other for years. Adli guess part of it because of studying and work commitment. Part of it because we are eager to explore our own way. Yet, somehow our path meet again. Amal again being my buddy.

Today, another long lost buddy text Adli again. Well this one, shall Adli treat as a friend only. He only came when he got problem. Simply goes mad at anything. Someday, somehow Adli hope he will change his attitude.

Our attitude will set our altitude.

Now Adli found a new hobby. Gardening. Enjoy planting pumpkin so much!

Focus

Again Adli is loosing focus. Yep. The work volume has drastically when up to the sky. It all happen when my colleague had her raise in the career path. All her previous task were given to Adli. Hahah. A change in mindset and need to focus, strategically allocate the time...

Combatting stress

Easily get stressed out by my staff attitude and behavior, I am not very good at handling my temper. Somehow I did find solace in gardening. Something that I have not delved before. My mind beginning to toyed with idea of sowing potatoes seed in a bucket. Got the idea from some gardening website. But then seeing one of my staff sowing tomatoes, long beans, some leafy greens, I decided to sown some seed that I bought at a hardware shop. Little that I know only a few seed is enough for potting. Now I have almost three handful of seedling of daikon radish looking out to be planted at my father backyard.

A new year with an idea

Welcome year 2014. Adli is 32 years this year. Quite an old man already heee. A new year with an idea. Adli wanted to make each day a very colorful and worthwhile. In simple one word sentence is AWESOME! 366 days.

1st January 2014
Planted the cashew nut tree in front of my sister's lawn. Bought the tree at a nursery for RM25.00. With help from my father and the trusted new hoe, the tree now is a mark of entering year 2014. :)

2sd January 2014
Picking up cherry tomatoes and gave one of my staff the seed of pumpkin to be sown on his patch of garden in our office lawn hehehe. Talking about Farmville effect in Facebook, this is more flavorful in my mouth.

3rd Januaru 2014
Bringing the second cashew nut tree that Adli bought from last couple of days to the office. Hee, the seedling now is happily basking in the sun!
